With their children in tow, the beleaguered couple flee the country in a desperate measure to find peace and healing, which proves to be more difficult than they had imagined.
As Maria struggles for emotional survival, God leads her on a journey of surrendering her broken dreams and her pride. But Marcelo refuses to entertain the idea that God longs to heal his brokenness as well.
As her marriage grows darker and more volatile, Maria wages a final spiritual campaign to reclaim the hearts of her children and her husband.
But this time, surrendered to God in a way she has never experienced, she’s not fighting for her family by herself.

Loved this memoir. It was a beautiful and brave story of God’s redemption and hope. It was a page turner and I read it in about 3 days- I couldn’t put it down.
